Active Assailant Response for School Personnel

Who should attend? All District and school site personnel

The school environment presents unique challenges to school staff when responding to an active assailant. Learn the latest techniques and protocols to protect yourself and students during an act of targeted violence at your school site. Training is broken down into three elements-situational awareness and managing fear; active assailant response (AVERT); and treating life threatening wounds.

Threat Assessment-Managing Potential Violent Student Behaviors

Who should attend? District and/or school site administrators and persons involved in threat assessment and management process

Increase understanding of behavioral threat assessment principles. Learn to recognize non-verbal communication and apply to basic interview strategies. Gain greater ability and confidence to apply threat assessment techniques. Learn how to manage short and long-term threat assessment cases utilizing a structured professional guide.

Campus Supervision/Security Training (SB1626)

As of July 1, 2021, every person involved in school security/supervision, even those that work less than 20-hours per week, will be required to take an SB1626 course in order to be eligible to work and be compliant in the State of California.

The Campus Security 24 hour course was built from the ground up to satisfy the curriculum requirements of California law SB1626 and to focus on the K-12 school environment. This course emphasizes situational awareness, active assailant response/stop the bleed (AVERT), the dynamics of student behavior and conflict resolution.
